Have Your NOments: Hangxiety

Louise Thompson, who is 7 months pregnant, sits down with Consultant Paediatrician, Dr Inyang Takon, to discuss her relationship with alcohol. They are sitting across from each other and sipping on mocktails. Louise is drinking a strawberry mocktail and Dr Inyang Takon is drinking a virgin mojito.

BIG NIGHTS OUT

More young people are choosing to go alcohol-free, at least sometimes. Big nights out can still be big, #HaveYourNOments with a delicious mocktail.

A HEALTHY CHOICE

Hangovers getting you down?

There are lots of good reasons to reduce your alcohol intake and it’s great that more young people are going alcohol-free.

You may be fed up with hangovers and want to reclaim your Saturdays, or Fridays or Wednesdays! You may want to avoid hangxiety. Maybe you’re trying to achieve fitness goals or you just want to save money!

Also, if you become pregnant in the future or want to start a family, you’ll be more used to going alcohol-free, which is imperative for pregnancy, so the transition should be easier.

BE YOUR BEST SELF

Maybe you’re trying to achieve fitness goals or maybe you just want to save money.

Reducing or cutting down alcohol can help you achieve this.

LOOKING TO THE FUTURE

You can think ahead about NOments when attending or planning a big event. For example, check out this alcohol-free ‘hen do’.

Little steps now can help later. If you become pregnant in the future or want to start a family, you’ll be more used to going alcohol-free, which is vital for pregnancy.
